I am unfamiliar with these so please be gentle with me.

I just wanted to say that I think Pacey and Joey should never have
broken up. It was their relationship that go me hooked. I started
watching and taping the show every week just so I could hear what
Pacey had to say to Joey that week. The things he said we so
romantic. I wish a guy like that truely exsisted. I never saw the
final episode so unfortunately I do not know who she ends up with.
But I am desperately trying to get my hads on the last episode.

I totally agree, Lynne. He not only has the sexiest voice, but he is just
so sexy PERIOD! Yummy! :)

I always liked Pacey with Andie, myself. Some of the stuff he did for her in
the second half of season two was very well done. There's a scene in her car
when it's teeming down and he's soaking wet and he says he's scared because
she's making him see his potential and he's falling in love with her, and that
was just wonderful. Some of his stuff with Joey was pretty good, but I thought
Pacey's finest hours were with Andie. I was very sorry when she left.

I always like Pacey and Andie too. It's too bad they had to come up with
the ridiculous story of her cheating on Pacey while in therapy. I always
hoped the writers would have brought her back.

I couldn't agree more. I think that Andie brought out the best in
Pacey, something that Joey didn't do. Part of that is because with
Andie there was no one else hovering in the wings to make him feel
insecure and suspicious. With Joey his behaviour was often pretty ugly
just because he couldn't get the idea of Dawson out of his head, but
that was his problem. Dawson was for a while a pretty sore loser, but
Pacey was a sore winner. I can't imagine him acting that way with Andie.

Well, Pacey often said that Joey made him a better man, but to me they never
really backed that up on the show all that well (maybe the episode where they
meet the bigwigs from Worthington and Pacey wins them over -- maybe). With
Andie, you could really see Pacey struggling not to be the town joke, to make
something out of his life. To me you could see Andie inspire him to really be
better. I just didn't get a sense of that with Joey.

That was what I liked about Castaways, that Pacey admits that he was always
worried/jealous of Joey/Dawson (which is kind of silly at that late stage, but
still). But yeah, he always seemed to be more concerned about measuring up to
her feelings about Dawson than concentrating on what they had.

Agreed. Well, Pacey never really got over his Dawson envy, but yeah, they had
Dawson act like an ass for a while. But what was even worse when that was when
they gave Dawson a consolation prize, i.e. Gretchen, like that makes up for not
having Joey.

I believe you are right, although I think "hated" is a bit strong. In most
cases, I would say didn't like.

Hey, it's a "teen drama". You can't have a couple stay together since
it makes it difficult (although not impossible) for them to sleep with
everyone else. ;-)
