According to this evening's Access Hollywood, Joshua Jackson is one of three
actors auditioning for Batman in the next few days. Jake Gyllenhaal and (I
think) Christian Bale are the other two.

I'd take Bale. JJ looks too young to play Bruce Wayne.

Here's SciFi.com's report ...

Actors Test For Batman
----------------------
Warner Brothers and director Christopher Nolan will test
several hot new actors for the title role in the studio's
proposed fifth Batman movie, which is scheduled to start
shooting in February 2004, according to The Hollywood
Reporter. Sources told the trade paper that during the
next three days, several young actors are expected to
test for the role, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Christian
Bale, Joshua Jackson, Cillian Murphy, Henry Cavill and
Eion Bailey.

Meanwhile, sources said that Hugh Dancy (King Arthur)
may test if his schedule permits and he is able to shave
the beard his Arthur character, Galahad, is sporting, the
trade paper reported.

I don't really know most of these actors, but almost anyone is better
than Demi Moore's toyboy who at one stage was rumored to be THE one to
play the next Batman.

Yes, I heard that too on the UK's Capital FM yesterday! With hindsight
George Lucas should have cast him as Anakin - he was always the Han Solo of
the Creek and that would have lent itself to a convincing portrayal of
Skywalker's eventual fall to the darkside!
