Post by Rob JensenMusic-heavy shows that were produced before the advent of Season Sets
didn't secure the DVD rights to the songs, so the music companies try to
gouge them. That's pretty much the main reason we haven't seen any Ally
McBeal season sets yet, either.
So there is an upside to corporate greed. ;-)
I dunno. I've been watching FX's Twiggy McPsycho ;) reruns on weekend
mornings for the last month or so after not watching the show since the
series finale originally aired and it's been s5 eps until last Sunday's
rerun of the pilot. The s5 eps have been waaaay better than I
remembered them to be, probably because s1-3 aren't fresh in my head.
So I've been taping them for my collection, seeing as how the music
rights issues will keep the DVDs off the shelves for a while. I've been
debating whether or not to do the same with key eps of Creek, where the
music replacement is a much more crucial issue, the more I learn about
what's changed for the DVDs.
BTW, I'm curious -- anybody care to give a rundown of what songs were
changed in the Joey's Creek s1 and 2 sets that you think shouldn't have
been changed?

even more dangerous.
GIRL: What?
LORELAI: Have you ever heard of a Brazilian Bikini Wax?
