I was told that perhaps season 2 would be the last full season to get a DVD
release and they wouldn't bother with the rest. I know the other's are
vastly inferior, but they're better than a lot of what's on uk terrestrial
at the mo'. Does anyone know what the plans are re seasons 3-oblivion?

I wouldn't think so. The show was sold into a very long (and expensive)
syndication contract with TBS which provides the promotion vehicle. There
is no reason not to release them all. Who told you this?

I don't.

I think the last half of season three and a good section of season four is
the series' best.

Eh, I guess if you're a P/J. Certainly season six was weak, but I think really
after season two -- when Williamson left -- there was a noticeable drop in
quality. While I'd like to see all six seasons on DVD, what Sony/Columbia is
really looking at are sales, and if season 2 doesn't sell well, then we
probably won't see any more than that. Be a bummer if that happened.

The entire beginning of season 3 was pure crap. The last few episodes of
season 3 leading into season 4 are genius. I think when they hit college the
show took a dramatic change in the characters. They were in college,
experiencing new things outside the realm of Capeside. It's understandable.
Everyone changes over time. I enjoyed the last two seasons of the show. And my
all time favorite is season one with season 4 close behind. The series finale
brought back something the show was missing and I think it's one of my all time
favorite episodes also.

I stil can't believe it's over.

If they can make money on it, they'll probably release it, I would imagine.

You guys over in the UK already have season 2 on DVD?

You guys got Futurama before us, too (and I made the mistake of buying it
from AmazonUK, only to find out that it doesn't play in US DVD players!)
