Katie Holmes in Pieces of April

I saw Katie Holmes' new movie "Pieces of April" yesterday. It was pretty
good. She did a good job in an un-Joey like role (as April). Actually, the
whole cast did a good job.

My only complaint is the boyfriend's "subplot". They could have had a
simpler reason for him to be out of the apartment most of the day that
wouldn't have distracted from the main story. Of course, the movie is only
81 minutes long with the subplot and they may have felt the need to pad the
movie. This was an annoyance, but the movie was still good.

Incidentally, it was shot in digital video.

i heard they're susspossed to put it in more theaters this friday. i
really want to see it. never really have any complaints about katie's
movies. abandon gave me the creeps. she played that pshyco part too
well. i guess i have to wait til april comes out on dvd
