Kerr Smith will be guest starring on the show Miss Match on Friday,
12-12-03. This is a pretty good show. I often Tivo it so I can watch it
later since it comes on on Friday nights. But if you're home this Friday,
you should check it out. I've pasted the episode description from NBC
below.

SANTA, BABY

9pm 2003-12-12 ALL NEW!

VICTORIA STARTS TO BELIEVE IN SANTA'S MAGIC WHEN KATE MAKES A HOLIDAY MATCH
FOR HER BEST FRIEND; CHARISMA CARPENTER, DINA MEYER AND KERR SMITH
GUEST-STAR -- Just when Kate (Alicia Silverstone) thought that Serena
Lockner (guest star Charisma Carpenter, "Angel") was out of her life for
good, she returns to ask Kate to represent her in adopting a baby. While
Kate tries to convince Serena that babies are not the fashion accessory of
the month, she is also distracted by Lauren's (guest star Dina Meyer,
"Starship Troopers") divorce -- a complicated case since she and Michael
(David Conrad) have to hide their relationship or Kate will lose Lauren as a
client. In the meantime, Victoria (Lake Bell) moonlights as an elf in
Santa's workshop at the mall and gets some naughty attention from a flirty
Santa (guest star Kerr Smith, "Dawson's Creek"). James Roday and Jodi Long
also star. TV-PG

Thanks for the info. I watch the show occasionally, but with Charisma and
Kerr guest staring I will make an extra effort to see it.

I saw the Miss Match episode yesterday. Charisma Carpenter had a large role
(she plays sort of a BtVS version of Cordy grown up).

Kerr Smith had a much smaller role. He was part of the C plot and almost
all the time was dressed as Santa.

I thought it was a good episode. As a fan of Angel and Buffy, I also
enjoyed seeing "Cordy" again. Her first appearance on Miss Match was much
more "early Cordy" than this one. It was nice to see Kerr Smith play a
totally unlike Jack character.

coming on Monday (for some odd reason) and I hope we'll get some answers
there. At least we don't have to wait a week to see.

I think the Monday show is an attempt to get more viewers. It was killed by
Joan of Arcadia (which I liked more than Miss Match) and was not doing well
against JAG either. I think NBC wants to give it a chance for more viewers
to sample it.

Also "Ed" is going to be sharing the 9:00 Friday time slot in the future.

Well, they cleared it up, fortunately). Michael is a ... I am not sure
what, but Kate is well rid of him.

I watched "Miss Match" the first few episodes and then stopped and then
watched one or two and then stopped until last Friday's show.

If I remember correctly, Michael has been around since the first or second
show and Kate fixed him up a couple times. Is my memory correct?

In one of the episodes I missed, did Kate "fix up" Mike and Lauren, not
knowing they already knew each other?

The shows seems to have gotten better than I remembered. My major complaint
is Kate seems to be pushed around too much, but not as much as before.

We will have to see what the spring brings.

Back to Dawson's Creek, I bought Season Two today. Now I just have to find
the time to watch it (and the Season One package I bought when it came out).

Yeah, I was a big fan of Michael, but not now! I didn't watch it when it
started, but I know the Michael character has been there most of the time.
Kate didn't set him up with Lauren. She did set him up on a few dates and
he had a short "relationship" with one of them, but broke it off. Lauren and
Michael's relationship was complicated. I believe they were married or at
least very serious when she left him and married his best friend.
Kate and Michael had a first date set up and he called and said he had to
help an old friend move. That turned out to be Lauren. Kate had just met
her earlier that same day, I think, when she went to the firm about her
divorce. She came on their date and Michael was surprised when the women
knew each other. That began the quest of Lauren to be the biggest bitch
ever. I'm sure you knew some of that, but I didn't know how much.

And back to DC, I still have to buy season 2! I'm such a slacker fan!!

least very serious when she left him and married his best friend.
Thanks for the information, actually I didn't know the Lauren/Michael/Kate
back-story.

I am not sure what Michael's problem is? Is he a liar or just undecided or
what, but he does seem someone to stay away from if you are looking for a
relationship.

I remember Kate meeting Mike early in the show (pre-Lauren's appearance) and
her interest in him (he was shown as a "perfect" fit for her, but her
matchmaking ethics kept her from moving on him).
