Meanwhile, Columbia TriStar will tide over "Dawson's Creek" fans with "Dawson's
Creek: The Series Finale - Exclusive Never-Before-Seen Director's Cut" on
September 30. The single-disc release includes 25 minutes of previously unaired
material from the series closer. Additional information, such as extras and
complete specs, is expected in the coming weeks. Currently, the disc carries a
suggested retail price of $24.95.

<AHEM> Where is the other 20 Minutes?!

25 minutes is probably all that was canned that could be finished up with
only post-production (no reshoots). They are limited to what they can do in
the editing room. Scenes where only 1 side of the conversation or the like
wouldn't be able to be included since they have no way of shooting the
continuity sequenses. Think about it, 25 minutes is more than 1/2 an
episode. It may not sound like a lot but the additional 25 minutes ends up
making the finale over 30% longer (new length is 102 min) than the original
televised version. Surely it will include the ring scene, the breakup with
Chris, gas station scene, MM's scene etc.
